How to Develop Confidence

If you want more confidence, take action.

It might seem backwards, but through action, we start to build skills, strength, and knowledge.

We're born only knowing and being able to do a few things.

The rest we have to learn and develop.

It's not always easy being a beginner. You might be afraid of how you're perceived by others or want to avoid your own internal dialogue.

The thing is, if you don't take action on what's important to you, your mind can start to trick you.

It can make you think you can't accomplish the amazing things you want for yourself and your loved ones.

Here's one way to boost your confidence today.

  1. Take one small step on something important to you, that you've been procrastinating on.

It doesn't matter how small or little time it takes, just that you finally do it.

It might be a single task that will be complete after you do it. Or, it might be one part of something bigger that brings you closer to completion. Either way, you’re moving forward.

  1. Celebrate your action - such as telling yourself, "Good job!" or get a fresh cup of coffee.
  2. Then, to keep up the momentum, schedule 5-15 minutes each week to work on whatever you chose.

Yes, you read that correctly. 5-15 minutes per WEEK. I’m confident that you are able to bust through procrastination at least that amount of time per week.

If you take consistent action, before you know it, you'll be developing the confidence you've been wanting...through action! You’ve got this!
