If you're like me, you might have been in one, or a hundred... ice cream shops. The choices can be daunting!

Should you get the flavor you always pick or try something different? What if your favorite flavor is sold out? Cup or cone? Sprinkles or toppings? Which flavor should be on the top or the bottom...?

In addition to decisions for yourself, there might be other parties involved or time constraints that add to the complexity.

What if you have to make the selection quickly instead of having a chance to weigh your options? What if you add eager kids or a hangry friend...or sister (that would be me!) to the mix?

When you're deciding which flavor/flavors to choose, it's not necessarily a clear choice. It can be the same with other decisions you have.

Here's how you use this tool.

1. Use your gut or intuition, and pick the flavor (option) that most appeals to you.

Don't second guess yourself, just order.

TIP: The choice you want to make is often the first flavor (option) you noticed, or first choice that you liked. It might have been because of the name, look, or some other aspect.

Your first choice is often is the one that your heart wants the most. The more you stay true to who you are, the more you become the best version of yourself. When you make choices that support your potential, you not only feel more fulfilled, but also you are able to help others in the best way you can.

2. Enjoy the moment!

Savor your frozen deliciousness with your eyes, nose, and palate. Pay attention to how your action is paying off for you. You’re eating ice cream!

If you keep eyeing the other choices you could have made, you won't be truly present to fully enjoy what's in front of you.

Celebrate the fact that you made a decision, and are progressing towards your personal goals, and how you want to impact others.

3. Realize that there are often several choices that will help you get where you want to go.

There's typically more than one flavor, or option, that can make you happy. You'll miss out on so much if you peer endlessly at the ice cream case and don't decide!

And I’m guessing you’d rather eat some frozen, fun-in-your-mouth goodness, than have none because of decision paralysis!

Each action you take, helps you gain confidence in your abilities. With each action, you receive information to help you make future decisions.

Even if you pick a "flavor" that isn't the ultimate, you still get to eat ice cream!

 (If you couldn't tell, I really love ice cream…mine is vegan these days!)
